Terms and Conditions

To all interested participants, please read the UPSA Registration policies carefully.

Eligibility Criteria

Juniors Division:

  • Must be 18 and below as of 31st December in the year of competition.
  • Registrants that are turning 19 years old during the year of the National Tour is not allowed.
  • Juniors may only enter Juniors or open divisions.
  • Competitors must be current members of UPSA

Open Divisions:

  • Open to any age
  • Competitors must be current members of UPSA

Masters Division:

  • Must be 40 years old and above during the competition.
  • Masters are also eligible to compete in open divisions (longboard and shortboard).
  • Masters Division does not require an active membership (please message us for assistance).

Residency Eligibility

  • National tour participants must be a Filipino citizen to enter (wild cards, invited to attend by the governing body of UPSA is the only exception. Whereas no points will in any circumstances be awarded to non-Philippine nationals)

Registration Requirements

For all participants:

  • An active Annual Membership or One-Time Membership

For Juniors:

  1. Birth certificate/valid ID
  2. Signed UPSA Waiver (download waiver here)

For Masters:

  1. Birth certificate/Valid ID

Registration Payments

The UPSA Rule Book, Chapter 3, Section 1.5. states that "Registration and event fees must be paid 72 hours prior to the event call date. Whereas the online event registration will close 72 hours prior to the start of the event date."

Thus, failure to pay your registration fees 72 hours before competition proper will forfeit your registration.

Disclaimer of Liability

The United Philippine Surfing Association (UPSA) hereby disclaims any and all liability for any accidents, injuries, or damages that may occur to any participant during the surfing competition. This includes, but is not limited to, injuries sustained while surfing, injuries sustained while using any equipment provided by UPSA, and injuries sustained while traveling to or from the competition.

UPSA takes the safety of its participants very seriously and has taken all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable event. However, by participating in the competition, participants acknowledge and accept the risks associated with surfing and agree to hold UPSA harmless for any accidents, injuries, or damages that may occur.

Participants are also responsible for their own safety and well-being. This includes, but is not limited to, following all safety rules and regulations, using appropriate equipment, and being aware of their surroundings.
